Trained at install. Backed for as long as you run it.
Every SnapPOS install includes hands-on training and help with SnapPOS itself for as long as you run it. For everything else in the shop — the PCs, printers, Wi-Fi and email — PC Guru, our IT partner, offers tech plans to any customer who wants one.
Training to start, and help for as long as you run it
Training, built around your shop
Hands-on training for you and your staff when we install, a scheduled follow-up session with SnapPOS support or your agent, and help with any training question during your first 30 days. If your team needs more in that first month, ask — we'll do all we can.
Help with SnapPOS, with no end date
If SnapPOS itself misbehaves — a bug, a question about how a feature works, a lost licence, or getting your data back after a SnapPOS fault — call us. That is included for as long as you run it.
The computer, printers, network, internet and your card processor are outside SnapPOS support. That is what a PC Guru tech plan is for.
The software never needs a subscription
A PC Guru tech plan is a separate, optional service for your business — not a license fee for SnapPOS. You can take one, skip it, or cancel it later, and none of that changes anything about your POS.
- Buy SnapPOS once and never take a plan — it keeps working
- Take a plan, then cancel it — it still keeps working
- There is no switch on our side that turns your activated register off
Your whole shop, not just the POS
When a register stops working, the fault is rarely where you'd expect — the app, the PC, the printer, or the internet, and each vendor will tell you it's one of the others. PC Guru, SnapPOS's IT partner, offers plans to every SnapPOS customer that cover the whole path, not just the POS.
Unlimited remote support
Phone and remote-session help for anything on your network — as often as you need it, without watching a clock or counting incidents.
Onsite visits included
Some faults need someone standing at the counter. Visits can be built into your plan rather than billed as a surprise every time something breaks.
SnapPOS updates & reinstalls
New versions applied for you, reinstalls after a hardware failure, and moving SnapPOS and its data onto a replacement machine.
Whole-network IT
Back-office PCs, receipt and label printers, Wi-Fi, routers, email — the rest of the technology your shop depends on, covered by the same plan.
The people who built your POS, not a call center
SnapPOS is built and maintained by PC Guru in East Texas — over 20 years doing commercial tech support for businesses across the region. When something on your counter misbehaves, you're talking to the team that wrote the software, not to a script.
They wrote it
No escalation path, no ticket bouncing between vendors. The person diagnosing your POS has the source code open.
20+ years in commercial tech
Registers are one part of it. Networks, servers, printers and the messy real-world setups small businesses actually run are the day job.
Local, and able to show up
Based in East Texas and serving the surrounding towns. Some problems need hands on the hardware, and that's possible here.
Licensed to your business, once
Every SnapPOS register is licensed to your business name, and that name prints on your receipts. We activate it during the install, so there is nothing for you to do. The licence does not expire and never needs renewing.
- Keep the licence email we send you — it has the licence file attached
- If the POS is ever rebuilt or moved to a new computer, that file is what puts it back
- Adding a module later is a new licence file, and we send it the same way
- Lost it? Write to support@snappos.net and we will reissue it
Add another register
Turn a spare Windows PC, a tablet, or a Linux mini-PC into a second register that points at the till you already have. It's a locked, full-screen browser that shows only SnapPOS — nothing is stored on it, so there's no database, no card data and nothing to back up. Unzip it, run one setup, and a SnapPOS icon appears on the desktop.
Windows register
Firefox is included. Double-click Setup SnapPOS Register.cmd — it finds your server on the network (or you type its address), locks the browser to SnapPOS, and adds a desktop icon.
Linux register
Firefox ESR is included. Run ./setup.sh — it finds your server, locks the browser to SnapPOS, and adds a desktop and app-menu icon. Ideal for a cheap mini-PC dedicated to the till.
The register only shows your SnapPOS server, so keep the main till PC switched on and on the same network. Press Alt + F4 to leave the locked screen for maintenance. Full setup notes are inside the download. Extra registers are a licensed add-on — if it isn't switched on yet, or you'd rather we set it up, ask below or call 903-483-4219.
Built around your shop, priced after we've seen it
Most shops start on one of these. A one-register salon and a three-lane convenience store need very different things, so what goes in the plan — and anything onsite — is scoped after we have seen your counter rather than guessed from a web page.
Pay as you go
No plan, nothing recurring. Ring when something breaks.
SnapPOS Support
Phone and remote for the register, its printers and its terminal.
Tier 1 Managed IT
Up to 5 users, proactive monitoring, first 2 labour hours included.
Full System Support
Onsite visits, back office, network and Wi-Fi — scoped to your shop.
Plans are month to month or annual, and cancelling one never affects your SnapPOS software or your data. Full managed-IT pricing, hourly rates and per-user plans are on pcguru.me ↗.
Monthly or annual — you pick
Month to month if you'd rather stay flexible, or annual at a lower rate if you'd rather budget it once. No multi-year contract either way.
Scoped to what you actually run
We'll look at what's on your counter and in your back office, then put together a plan covering the things that would genuinely stop you trading.
Canceling doesn't break anything
Your inventory, your sales history and the software itself are yours and stay on your machines. Ending a support plan ends the support, and nothing else.
Installed on site from Dallas–Fort Worth to the Ark-La-Tex.
We set SnapPOS up at your counter and load your inventory anywhere from Dallas–Fort Worth across Northeast Texas, Southwest Arkansas and Northwest Louisiana. Just outside the map? Ask anyway — a demo can always happen over a call.
Hover or tap a county or town for its name.
Key areas: Dallas–Fort Worth, Greenville, Terrell, Tyler, Longview, Kilgore, Marshall, Mount Pleasant, Sulphur Springs, Texarkana, Shreveport–Bossier, Magnolia and Hope.
